Cranks, Chain, Stem, Headset, Forks…
So it’s been ages since i blogged about my bike. Maybe that’s because i’ve been busy riding it instead of just keeping on buying things for it :D

I finally got the fixed gear project ‘finished’. I use the word finished lightly because this bike will never, ever be ‘finished’. At the moment, it is exactly how i envisaged it at the start of this project. So in my opinion it is now in a state of finished! :)
Here are some pictures:
I’m bikeless at the moment as of Saturday afternoon… but for good reason.
I’ve spent the entire weekend and bank holiday Monday, taking my fixed gear bike apart, stripping the frame of its paint, sanding and then prepping it for a fresh, complete powder coat.
I woke up early this morning to go and drop off all of the parts and components at the powder coaters near me for 7.30am.
The dude said that i’d have it back by the middle of the week for a very reasonable price. Very, very excited now. The ‘final’ step is now underway to get my bike to how i wanted it when i first decided to get one (by final i mean, so far. This bike will never ever be ‘finished’)
There is only one downside that i can see, and that is that i’ve got to go to Garstang tomorrow for a work function and i have no way of getting there bar public transport… not happy about that!!
Anyways… bright side… In about 48hours or so, i shall have my bike back and as soon as i do, there shall be photos :)
