NEW PAINT!!

Fixed Gear New Paint

Currently Bikeless – Not For Long!

I’m bikeless at the moment as of Saturday afternoon… but for good reason.

I’ve spent the entire weekend and bank holiday Monday, taking my fixed gear bike apart, stripping the frame of its paint, sanding and then prepping it for a fresh, complete powder coat.

I woke up early this morning to go and drop off all of the parts and components at the powder coaters near me for 7.30am.

The dude said that i’d have it back by the middle of the week for a very reasonable price. Very, very excited now. The ‘final’ step is now underway to get my bike to how i wanted it when i first decided to get one (by final i mean, so far. This bike will never ever be ‘finished’)

There is only one downside that i can see, and that is that i’ve got to go to Garstang tomorrow for a work function and i have no way of getting there bar public transport… not happy about that!!

Anyways… bright side… In about 48hours or so, i shall have my bike back and as soon as i do, there shall be photos :)

Deaf Pigeon Blog

Deaf Pigeon Fixed Gear Blog

I’ve not designed and built anything for myself to stretch my wings for a long while, so i decided to put together a new blog dedicated to all things fixed gear, the main reason for this is because of my new found hobby obsession with fixie’s.

Halfords

I was out and about in Preston on Friday afternoon, with another fixed gear rider, and we were having a pretty cool ride around and about Preston Docklands and the City Centre until i had an inner-tube blowout on my rear wheel. It was a good job that i had my blowout when i did, i was within walking distance of a Halfords (all of the local bike shops that i wanted to go to would have been shut at this time).
