This is a little taste of something very special coming pretty soon. My band Yachts. have finished recording our first demo EP and it needed some tasty artwork to go with it.

It contains 3 songs, all beginning with ‘S’.

We’ll be getting all of the internets soon and hopefully releasing it out to the world early August. So happy with how the first press of the demo sounds, just a couple of little minor tweaks and then we’re good to go.

The EP is called ‘When All That’s Left Is All That’s Left Behind’ and there are 4 tracks on it:
1. I Blaspheme
2. The Subtle Transition
3. Excess To Impress
4. Back And To The Left

I’ve not designed and built anything for myself to stretch my wings for a long while, so i decided to put together a new blog dedicated to all things fixed gear, the main reason for this is because of my new found hobby obsession with fixie’s.

The internets is awash with awesome Fixed Gear Companies / blogs / photos / videos / clothing etc… and i wanted a place (other than my RSS) to keep a bunch of the stuff that i like. So i created ‘Deaf Pigeon‘… My very own fixed gear ‘blog’. It’s more of a resource for me to keep stuff that i like relating to fixed gear bikes and riding.

It’s only in it’s infancy at the moment, but i’ve already got 2 other authors (not including myself) who update the blog with things that they find online aswell. If you want to join in, just get in touch and i’ll sort you out with a login!

There is a page with a big bunch of links on there aswell so that it’s easy to keep track of fixed gear companies and other sites that are online. Also a really good what to keep track of local fixed gear rides and events.

I’ve already started to pool a selection of my favorite fixed gear bikes, this way i can look back over the bikes that have inspired mine. If you’ve got a photo of your bike and you want it put on there then don’t hesitate to send it over!

Here is my newest (and possibly my best?) icon and wallpaper release… POKER CHIPS

Thought that i would design a poker themed icon for some fun really! I also designed a wallpaper to go with it! The icon comes in the usual formats (.icns and icontainer) and the wallpaper has 2 variants (pattern and no pattern) and in widescreen & fullscreen desktop sizes.

Here is my first blog post using my new wordpress blog on my fresh website for 2009… i got rather bored of the last one after a short time because i had basically piled in far too much information and stuff into a relatively small website.

I decided to make the new design, a lot simpler and easier to browse around and to mainly let the content do the talking. I hope i have accomplished this goal and i hope everyone likes it.

As you will be able to see, i haven’t put all of my work online as of yet but i will do very soon so that all of my new work and past work can be viewed together in the same place.

New icons, themes/GUI designs will be coming through very shortly, which will mean that my site will be constantly updated with exciting, new and interesting material. This blog will be updated regularly now that i have finally pulled my finger out and built myself something that actually works and is easily used.

Tabasco Desktop

Some people love spice, some people hate it… This is my newest creation, a Tabasco sauce inspired treat for you to ‘Spice’ up your desktop (sorry for the pun!). Comes in 3 sizes, Widescreen (2560×1600), Fullscreen (1600×1200) and a smaller version for the iPhone. This is (in my opinion) my best desktop to date!, i have tried to make something that would please everyone!

I hope you all enjoy using it as much as i did making it?
